It was originally created by Saverio Castellano. Casey Ackels and Sander van Grieken have since picked up the development. FEATURES * Ability to use different language files. * UTF-8 encoding. Everything is encoded using UTF-8 encoding by default. If you wish to change this, at this time you must open up the default.ini file, and go to the me(encoding) variable, and change utf-8 to the desired encoding. * Ability to display halfop (%) status in the channel, along with /halfop, /dehalfop commands * Ability to display Server Notices (snotices) in the same places as other notices are, as defined by you. * Most windows are resizable now. * Menu's highlighting is better, before it was barely readable. * Ability to colorize one word, then return to normal color. * Added /names, /links and /topic commands BUGS The following list are known issues, but present in this release : * Right now there is no easy way to switch to a different language file (there's only an english one at this time). There's no language selection option in the GUI, but if you have created your own, you can change it in the default.ini file. Open it up and go to the me(lang) variable. Change it to the desired language file. Language files must be in this format (en_en), so if your language is Dutch, and you live in The Netherlands, you would set; nl_nl. If your language was english and you lived in the UK, you would set; en_uk. The first value is your language, the second is your country. * The Sound Manager is barely functional and unsupported. We want to move this out of the savIRC package and provide it as a separate script. * System Tray support is at best flaky For the most up to date list of pending bugs, please go to http://bugs.savirc.com REPORTING BUGS If you find a bug, and we hope you don't, but if you do, we kindly ask that you report it at http://bugs.savirc.com MISSING A FEATURE If there is a feature that you wish was in savIRC, please add it to the WishList Category in our bugs database. http://bugs.savirc.com
